Final Piece

This is my final piece that is inspired by the 3 jewellers i did research on,I looked at Miranda Sharpe specifically when manufacturing this piece. It was  slightly  difficult because i had to use her style of colour, and use her techniques but sort of bring a little bit of my style as well.
Sterling silver,copper and resin

Manufacturing

After drawing and designing i have come to a point that i needed to change or go differently from my 3 jewellers. But using the techniques that they use i am trying to add more to that.
Square shape shank, sterling silver
Copper collet that will be soldered on top of the shank

Drawing

After experimenting with colour, texture and the techniques that my jewellers use, I now have started to do some rendering and designing some jewllery pieces that are based on enamelling and texture.

Experimenting with wire and enamelling

Still continuing with playing and learning about colour combinations, I have used  line to make patterns.I am using wire to achieve this line pattern  with varying spaces in between. I also played with colour variety in the positive and negative spaces

Enamelling (my final design piece)

My research on three jewellers has influenced my way of thinking about colour in jewellery. It has made me interested in enamel. I didn't know that you can actually mix non-precious metals with colours and still get a feel of it being precious to the wearer. I have been busy doing some research on techniques that my 3 jewellers specialise in and materials  that they use.
This is a texture that  I got by putting metal into the kiln at 860 degrees celsius

This is just playing around with metal thickness and how I need my different impressions on a metal
